Fillings repair teeth which have cavities. The procedure of removing decay, and replace the area of the tooth structure with material. The material which it is replaced with can be either Composite, which is a white tooth colored filling or a Amalgam filling, which is silver.  The filling fills the area which was removed due to decay. is called a filling because new a material fills hole that decay left. If the cavity is not treated promptly it can cause more serious problems for the tooth. Our goal is to prevent any serious tooth problems by catching the small procedures early. The sooner a problem is caught the most chance of repairing the problem. We are a painless dentistry and want you to stay happy and healthy.

Bonding is the placement of white filling material, composite, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done by a toothbrush or even bone loss. Bonding can also be done to adjust a  persons bite  to prevent severe grinding. The procedure leaves no side effects and nobody else can tell what has been done. This procedure can be completed within 10-15 minutes pr tooth.

This is a preventative procedure preformed protect a tooth from receiving a cavity. Sealants are a clear coding which cover the top of a tooth, usually  preformed on back teeth or on teeth which have deep grooves. Teeth with deep grooves have a higher chance of receiving a cavity because they are more difficult to clean. Most children and teens receive this procedure when the molars and premolars are visible in the mouth. This procedure can take about 10 minutes.

Deep Cleanings/ Scaling and Root Planning
A deep cleaning is only necessary when there is severe bone loss or gum disease. Bone loss usually occurs with age. Bone loss is preventable with routine flossing and proper brushing. Diabetes has a tendency to increase the chance of bone loss and bleeding gums. If you bleed while you brush it is highly recommended to see your dentist to assist with a professional cleaning.  Severe bone loss has a term of Periodontitis. Periodontitis is treatable with professional cleanings every 3 months in addition to routine dental care. Advaned stages of Periodontitis can lead to loose teeth and tooth loss. t is very important to treat this condition as soon as possible in it's early stage. Dr. Behmanesh does have further treatment for this special condition. It is highly recommended to make an appointment as soon as possible.  Our goal is to repair your teeth and keep them healthy as long as possible. In some situations lose teeth need to be extracted to help repair the bone and keep the gums healthy. 

This is a digital photo to assist the doctor in proper treatment and to evaluate the bone dentition as well as look for any decay within the tooth. X-Rays also allow the doctor to find infections and more serious conditions. With our special, low radiation digital X-Rays, we are able to most efficiently diagnose  disease and irregularities.  X-rays are a necessary part of the diagnostic process, and not to use them could lead to undiagnosed disease. Without an X-ray of the whole tooth, and supporting bone and gum tissues, there is no real way to detect infection or pathology that requires attention.

In our office the use digital radiography which allows us to take X-rays  currently usis 50-70% less radiation then conventional X-rays. It uses less radiation then some microwaves.
